Welcome to West Brightenflatt Caravan Site

Pitches

Please choose your pitch: we rarely allocate in advance in order to give our visitors a good choice.  The bays at each end facing the view are super sized and meant for the larger 6m+ motor home or double axle caravan. On the other side, on the Right as you drive in, is a side bay suitable for a larger unit. Beyond it is another hard standing for a smaller unit.

There are generous hard standing and turning areas so it will not be necessary to drive your vehicles on the grass.

Arrival and Departure Times

Arrival Times - 1pm to 6pm - Outside these hours please contact us – we know unforeseen events an delay you and we will do what we can to deal with a late arrival.

Departure Times – before 11 on day of departure.

Facilities

Be aware that the electricity hook up for your pitch which might be to the Left or the Right.

The waste disposal area is behind the palisade fencing at the low end of the site. Please replace the black / grey waste cover after use and wash it down using the hose provided. You can use the green or blue type chemicals, this is NOT a septic tank.

The waste disposal area also contains the refuse bin and recycling. Please help us recycle as much as possible.

The toilet and shower are no smoking areas and are located over in the single story red brick building, access is via the path on site and leading to the far side of the building, past the chimney.

The shower costs  £1 and there is a coin box taking coins.  Tip: take a second coin just in case you run out of time. The coin machine does not accept £2 coins.

Sorry, the washing machine is NOT for use by guests.

We try to maintain high standards, please help by tidying up after yourselves, and let us know if there is any problem. The toilets drain to septic tanks so no products other than toilet tissue is permitted.

Picnic Tables

These are for the consumption of food, so please help by keeping them clean as you find them. They are not for drying clothes on or to be used as a work bench or used to tether dogs.

Dogs

The dog walk is straight up from the site gate and joins an A road. You can keep turning left and go round the block returning up the main entrance track.

Please pick up after dogs and ensure they are not a nuisance to other visitors who may not be  dog lovers. Keep dogs on leads as this is farmland and there are animals all around. There is a bright red waste bin to take your bagged and sealed dog waste. When you leave, please check your pitch to ensure your dog did not leave a deposit when you were not watching! Do not allow your dogs onto the other pitches.

Traffic

Please keep to our 10mph speed limit on the access lane, and 5mph on the site itsself. The simple reason is that speed causes the loose surface to move around and it needs more maintenance. Please do not open the motorhome waste valves to run out your grey water onto road or public highway.

Unfortunately we do not allow commercial vehicles on the site. We also do not allow EV charging onsite.

Chip Van

The fish and chip van visits the village hall monthly. You will have passed small black and white signs on the verges on your way to the site if the event is on that particular Friday. It is not possible to say in advance exactly when it occurs so watch out for the signs.
